This painting was completely different to what appears here as you can see below. I felt that it was going nowhere so I painted a white diagonal grid across it. This looked bad so I scraped it off. The semi-dry paint also took off layers beneath it to revel something quite interesting. I could then see a face so I painted around the outline of the face to create the whitish back ground.
The removed areas looked like the bandages removed from the invisible man. hence the title.
